Nine Good Reasons
not to pursue
professional foot care
by A CFCS (Certified foot care specialist)
You’re young with great circulation. Honestly, most people don’t have any problems with their feet until they get into their later years and have logged a lot of miles and cumulative damage to their feet.
You can easily see your toes and are able to clip your own toenails without any difficulty. If you are able to assess your own feet everyday and easily take care of your own foot care needs, you probably don’t need a specialist.
You’ve never had a problem with an ingrown toenail or a painful callus.
Your feet fit your shoes comfortably. Your toes don’t rub. You are always free of foot pain.
You are not diabetic and you have no loss of feeling in your feet or toes. Again, healthy toes that can be seen and felt and assessed probably don’t need professional services.
You have never damaged a toenail and your toenails grow straight and smooth. You have no signs of rough, thick, yellowed nails.
Maybe you have a few issues, but you already see a podiatrist regularly. You have a good care plan already worked out for your feet. You don’t need a nurse to come to you.
You really want a foot soak. A Certified Foot Care Specialist must follow current standards and protocols, and foot soaks are not recommended nor endorsed.
You want your nails polished and sparkled. Certified Foot Care Specialists give medical pedicures. We focus on healthy feet and toes and freedom from pain. We don’t have any nail polish or sparkles. (We do, however, give a refreshing foot rub at the end of our services!)
Foot care services are an investment of time and money and are not for everyone.
Those who need it, however, won’t regret it!
